I have been sitting in a state of paralysis looking at my list of things to do for my trip. I finally broke down my to do list into things to do each day this afternoon. That certainly helped a little. I still have a few more things to accomplish for today's list but there are a few more hours left in the day. I have decided that I am going to abandon my blog and try not to do more than peek at everyone's blogs until I get everything done. It is so much easier for me to sit and read blogs than to attack my list. I need to get focused and stop procrastinating so I won't be running around like a chicken with my head cut off the day I leave for Italy.
Since I don't have any photos of a chicken running around with its head cut off, I thought I would leave you with some photos of various types of pineapples. That way this won't be such a boring post and besides, this gives me a little more time to procrastinate before getting back to the list.
I took these photos with Candi & Bill up at the Dole Pineapple place. I should have taken photos of the names of each type of pineapple plant but I didn't.
(There's more pinepples on the next page...)
and my favorite...

girasoli, great photos of the pineapples. I remember our visit there:)
I know what you mean about tackling a list of things to do, it is never fun, but you will feel great when you cross that last little thing off, and you are all set to go to Italy. Oh, lucky you! Just think about that!

Hi Girasoli, okay . . . now I'm craving pineapple! :) Good luck on your to do list. I'm sure that you won't be running around (and btw I'm glad you didn't find a headless chicken photo, ha ha!) at the last minute. Everything will work out and you will soon be in beautiful Italy eating great food, climbing towers, taking fabulous photos and enjoying hanging out with your good friends!
Don't forget to do one more blog before you leave but if you don't get a chance I want to wish you safe travels and have an awesome trip!

Wow -- I had no idea there were so many colours (and varieties) of pineapples. Beautiful!
Look at that countdown meter, only 8 days until your trip (I hope that didn't make you feel anxious. You'll get everything done in time!)

I’m also a procrastinator but with time, I have learned to accept it knowing that in the end I’ll get everything done. So will you and your trip will be awesome, filled with adventures and new towers to climb.
Gorgeous pineapples! I didn’t know they came in so many different colors and shapes. The fourth one is the species that I’ve always in the large pineapple plantations in Puerto Rico.

This post is hysterical!! The quintessential example of procrastination if ever I did see one. Pineapples? Much too funny, Girasoli. But, I must admit I love it. Each morning I have been getting up saying "today I must start thinking of packing." So far the accomplishment has been filling our carry on with all our electronics.
so, you are not alone but the good news is, you will be on the plane regardless if you are ready. See you in Bologna!

Hi Girasoli, Oh yes, the dreaded lists! I know what you mean. Yes, you will feel so good when you have it completed, and then it is off to sunny Italy, beautiful people, wonderful food, great wines, amazing photos waiting to be taken. By the way, great shots of the pineapples ! I remember seeing most of them, when I visited there, love the last one too. Since your "days until" calender is almost up, I have "borrowed" the idea , cuz I liked yours so much, and now have it on my blog, for the countdown for my trip. I have a long wait, it is not until next May, but having that up, makes it a little more fun to see the days count away. My sister and I are making a return trip to Italy, this time to Venice.
Try not to stress too much over that list and the packing. It will all work out. Hope your shoulder is doing well. Have a simply wonderful trip, safe travels, look forward to reading all about it.

Love the beautiful flowers on the last photo. How interesting! We almost went the last time I was in Hawaii. That was way back in 2001.
