I just wanted to post a quick update to let you know that my Nespresso machine was delivered at 2pm today at school. I stalked the office all day long, walking through every 15 to 20 minutes. I finally let the secretaries know what was up. At 2pm, one of the secretaries called me and said "brown" (meaning the brown UPS truck). That was all I she needed to say and I knew that my machine was being delivered! I quickly finished up my conversation with a fellow teacher and rushed over to the office.
Two of my friends were in the office when I rushed over to the box with a huge smile on my face. I joked to them about how cool it would be if George was in the big box. I opened up the box and took out my machine to show them. They laughed as I opened up the box to find another one inside. Inside the second box was the Nespresso box. Inside that box was two boxes; a box containing the machine and a box containing the Aeroccino Milk Frother. My friends laughed saying my excitement was just like Christmas morning opening gifts.
My Nespresso machine is now sitting on my counter at home.
I have my machine prepped for initial use and ready to go tomorrow morning. The machine comes with 16 different sample capsules. Now I just need to figure out which capsule to try first. Decisions, decisions :)

Hi Girasoli, congrats on the arrival of your Nepresso gift. It looks really cool! I'm sure it will make you many wonderful cups of excellent tasting coffee. You'll now have to post your first cup! I've never seen a machine like this before and it sounds interesting. Can't wait to hear your first review of it...
Congrats again and enjoy your first cup!

Very cool. I might have to splurge on something like that one day. And LOL at "No George"!

Oooh, it looks fabulous -- even without George (I watch for his Nespresso ads on YouTube!)
What a tough decision, though, picking which capsule to try first!

Kathy, thanks! It is a cool little toy! I am too tired in the morning to set up a photo shot but I did update my reaction to a couple of the capsule flavors.
Anne, I think it looks pretty cool also :) The best part is that it does not take up too much room on my counter.
Candi, glad you like it :)
Annie, wouldn't that have been a fun surprise though?
sandra, I failed at my first choice but did better the second morning. It will make it interesting for the next few mornings trying the different capsules. I am sure I won't like them all, since there are quite a few with lower strength levels. I will need to figure out soon though which capsules to order before running out of all of the capsules.

Merry Christmas all over again - even if George wasn't in any of the boxes! It will be nice to hear your reviews. I would like that toy.... m

Congrats on your new toy. Or is it a medicinal toy?
I just got a bunch of Slow Trav blog updates in my Google Reader...so something was wonky for awhile with the feeds. I'm playing catch-up!

Leslie, I would have to say my washer/dryer is my favorite appliance, although I love my refrigerator also. I don't think I could do without either. My Nespresso is fun though!
menehune, it was a great present!
softdrink, hmmm? I think I could call it either or. Yep, we weren't all on strike. Just a major glitch that is finally fixed.

Looks like a fun machine. We have a Starbuck's Barista and it works well for us. Hubby makes coffee each morning but it takes much longer than yours. A couple of minutes to warm and definitely several minutes to froth the milk. But he likes playing with his toy.

Maria, thanks! I am really enjoying it! I also love how compact it is.

I love your Nespresso story! I had not heard of them until a few months ago when I was visiting a friend in Portland. I wanted to go to a Williams-Sonoma store, and they were doing a demo on them that day, of the same model you purchased. It seemed so easy, and quick. I was tempted, but resisted. I currently use my Moka everyday to make myself one latte. I love it, but it does take a little time. As you mentioned, everyone always wants to charge more to ship to Alaska or Hawaii, so I often resist in purchasing something where I have to have it shipped. I do order my Illy coffee, but if you spend over $75, it's free shipping, even to AK.

Cindy Ruth, that's cool that you were there when they were demonstrating the Nespresso. It is a fun toy to have. I am NOT a morning person at all but knowing that I will be drinking some yummy espresso in a few minutes has made it a bit easier to get up in the morning. I am glad you like your moka.
I know you understand how we are always so ripped off with the shipping charges. What gets me the most upset is when Free Shipping is advertised in bold or large print and then in tiny tiny print or sometimes only when checking out do you find the news that Oh NO but for Hawaii and Alaska (our foreign states) it will cost a ridiculous amount to ship even a $2.00 product. As you can tell, this is a big pet peeve of mine. Today when inquiring about a table I wanted to order for my class, I found out the shipping charge would be $147 dollars! - for a $129 table. I really should do a post on this someday.
