I promise to write more about my time in San Diego soon. I am just too tired to start tonight and since there is less than 90 minutes before midnight, I need to get something posted to keep up with posting daily for March Madness.
So, here are a few photos of some of the many boats I saw in San Diego (the first three are views from my room):

Thanks everyone. I was amazed at the number of boats (and this was just one boat harbor).
Barb, it was really like visiting with an old friend :)

Your photos are gorgeous! I like Shelter Island a lot. We used to have a sailboat at one of the marinas. We would fly or drive on weekends and hang out at the marina or go to Ocean Beach and Point Loma.
Can't wait to see your photos of San Diego and the gathering.

I agree, the second photo is great. You had an excellent view from your room. I loved the location with the marina and the harbor.
