I woke up this morning to find two lovely surprises.
First, I won an ABC Italiano children's book:
(Clicking on the book will take you to the Italian Baby Book site.)
Joe, who writes the blog Italyville.com. featured this book in one of his recent blog posts and also highlighted the author, Sonya Caruso. He gave away three books and I was one of the winners! Please stop by his blog when you get a chance to read all about the book and author. He also has a link with a promotional code of 20% off the book in this blog post.
Every time I go to Italy, I always spend time in the children's section of bookstores looking for great children's Italian books to bring back with me. This looks like a fantastic beginning Italian book! I am looking forward to teaching my children along with the Kindergarten class we visit the words in this book.
Not only did I win a book, but menehune who writes the blog synchronicity passed on this Sunshine Award to me:

It is awarded to bloggers whose positiveness and creativity inspires others in the blog world.
The rules for accepting the award are:
1. Put the logo on your blog or within your post.
2. Pass the award on to 12 bloggers.
3. Link to the nominees within your post.
4. Let them know they received this award by commenting on their blog.
5. Share the love and link to the person from whom you received this award.
Well, I don't think I can choose just 12 bloggers and so I am going to break the rules a little and pass this Sunshine Award on to all my blogging buddies.
Thank you Joe & menehune!!

Congratulations, Girasoli! I really love your idea of looking for children's books in Italian when you travel. You've mentioned it before and I've been meaning to do the same.
