Two of my favorite tower climbs have spiral staircases:
This staircase leads to the top of the Clock Tower (Torre dell'Orologio) in Venice.
This staircase leads up to the top of the Leaning Tower of Pisa (Torre pendente di Pisa).

Haven't (yet) climbed the Clock Tower, but I have almost that identical shot from Pisa! Actually I have a video of my mom descending in front of me. Maybe it wil appear on my blog one of these days :)

Great photos, I really like the iron work in the first one. Kinda thought you might post photos of stairs, with all the towers you have climbed!! Mine is stairs from Italy too.

These are really great shots. I love how similar and yet different they are. The Torre dell'Orologio was not open when we were in Venice.
