wagon ride

Late Tuesday afternoon, we went out to Carpenter Ranch for a wagon ride and dinner. The original plan was to go on a sleigh ride but there was not enough snow on the ground for a sleigh ride. It was pretty chilly outside when we arrived. Everyone bundled up, putting on extra layers, ski pants, jackets, hats, gloves/mittens, scarves, etc. There were about 40 people invited so we ended up going in two shifts. I was nice and warm sitting in a hay bale under a warm blanket. Beautiful horses, fun ride, nice scenery, and great company.

Hi Girasoli, wow! This is soooo cool! I love the photos that you took. The horses and surroundings are really beautiful. I have never been to Colorado and now you've put it on my radar. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family. I'm also wishing for more snow for you.

Wishing you a very Happy, Safe and Healthy New Year!

Beautiful horses. That looks so similar to the terrain where I grew up. Hope you had fun, what a change from your regular winters in Hawaii!

Marta, hello! Thanks!! I thought of you on this trip. You would have enjoyed the snowshoeing!

Kathy, the mountain towns in Colorado are so cool! I have a soft spot for Steamboat but there are a few great places to visit. Definitely, add it to you list. Summertime is also amazing!

sandra, thanks! Interesting that it looks similar to your home town terrain. The horses were so cool!

Happy New Year everyone! :)
