While it was SO tempting to take a political point of view, I decided to go with this:
This image is from the little market in Nizza Monferrato. I took the train there with Susan on day and we both went photo hunting all over town. It was a great day!

Ken and I celebrated our 29th anniversary last night with a special dinner. We had a big platter of stone crabs with a King Estate Domaine Pinot Gris. I love the wine with the seafood flavors. We had a mustard/mayo sauce, too. Next course we used the little jar or tartufo paste we bought in Alba this summer. We had fun in the afternoon, making the pasta together. I cut them into wide noodles-- pappardelle, maybe. Te truffle paste was better for smelling than eating but we really enjoyed the whole experience. We drank a nice Ridge, Cabernet blend with the pasta.
