We had such a fantastic meeting last night that I decided to post a few pictures of our group. We even had a long discussion about the book!

Here we are at Sarah's table with her wonderful Fiestaware dishes. Se served us a great soup which reminded me of Caldo Verde with chicken sausage in it, salad which included roasted pears and pecans. Sh made a really winning cake with a marscapone filling and sherried berries.
Here's a new "formal portrait" we made with Sarah's self timer camera. Lots of laughs ensued.

We decided to read Richard Russo's "Bridge of Sighs" next. It's over 600 pages so I'd better get off the computer and start reading!

Jan, I would love to be in a book club like this! Actually, I'd love to be in THIS book club. Too bad I don't live in Tallahassee. Lucky you to be part of this group.

Wonderful photos, and the menu sounds fantastic! Good luck with Russo, I'll be curious to hear what you think of it.

Ditto what kaydee says - the virtual book club just is not the same thing. Sigh, I may just have to start one if I can find 5 friends who are not in one already.

Sign me up, too, Jan. If only I weren't so far away!
