
This is one of the first camellias we got. Our friend Vicki gave it to us when we lived in our other house and we transplanted it here, about 20 years ago. Now it is a big, vigorous bush. It's about 15 feet tall and big around. It's called Debutante which I think is perfect for it's ruffle of pinkness--like a frilly crinoline.
The season is ending. Most of the blooms are falling off these days but we are welcoming dogwoods and other spring joys in their place.
