To San Luis Obispo

San Luis Obispo is the hometown of our great friends Amy, Kevin and Hannah.
We basically spent the day in the car. About 7 hours of driving.
We drove through Sacramento, down I 5 to Kettleman City, cut over to the East on highway 41. We saw miles and miles of brown rolling hills, a few horses and a few cows.
We arrived in San Luis around 4:00. Amy and Kev made us a great dinner and we drank a bottle of Cambria Syrah.
Kathryn and Hannah went to the fair; the grownups went to town for gelato and a nice walk. I really enjoyed the gelato from a little place called Giuseppe's. I had raspberry and chocolate in a cone.

We stayed up late, talking.

I love San Luis too. Actually, I love the whole Central Coast area. Lots of good wine (that's an important criteria for me).
