Okay - I admit it, originally I was going to blog all about my weight loss/getting fit experiences. And I admit, I've been incredibly lax about doing this (you see that picture next to procrastination in the dictionary? Well that's me).
Anyway, so here I am. Ready to tell you what I've been up to. Let's see, in a mad dash recap, I'm down 82 pounds from my all time high. I had a major stall from August (when I put 10 pounds on) until March (when I finally started to take it off), and now I'm in new territory. I switched Weight Watchers plans from Core to Flex, so now I weigh and measure everything. The shake up has worked and really helped me to see how large my portions had gotten yet again.
Over the winter, Chris bought us a trainer for our bikes (a little gizmo that sits in my bedroom into which I slide the back wheel of my bike). It let me ride through the winter on my old, heavy, bent-frame Miyata. Chris wanted me to get a new bike but I wouldn't until I convinced me that I was committed to riding. After completing a 25-mile ride in early March (or was it February), on my Giant Comfy, I decided it was time to upgrade.
So we visited our LBS (apparently cool bike speak for local bike shop), Halter's Cycles and got my Cannondale.

Pretty spiffy, huh? Anyway, since I first started riding it in April, I've put over 550 miles on it. If all goes well, I'll be close to 2,000 miles by the end of the summer.

But, Kim, I do see you new photo with your new "do" and svelte new bod - you look awesome!
Keep up the good bike workouts!
Terry - that picture is from last June :D! I need to get a new one soon - and maybe post some of me in my Quisp biking shirt. :) Thanks though!
