I'm scared.

Hey Kim. I'm at Shanon's 'borrowing' a neighbour's wifi signal. I read about your diagnosis on the blog. It is a scary time - my mom is a breast cancer survivor (actually, it was cancer # 2 for her).
Some of the things I learned from her: don't let the cancer take over your life any more than it has too!
Try not to dwell on the 'what ifs' - approach things with the information at hand when it presents itself.
Don't give up living because of the cancer. Mom traveled to Japan after her diagnosis and had a wonderful time - she credits this with helping her through the tough days.
Remain positive!
Don't be afraid to accept the assistance others will offer to ou or their support and love.
Develop a 'team' - you can rely on this team for many things but always remember that they are fighting with you.
I'll be thinking of you as you walk (or bicycle :-)on the road to recovery.
