oooh! Mel and I loved lounging by that pool when we went 2 years ago! We didn't *stay* at the hotel ... but they were happy to bring us cocktails, anyway. ;)

Thinking more about it, it was the Mariott, not the Hyatt, but the pool in your picture still looks cool!! Gorgeous view also!

How cool! I stayed next door at the Marriott for my post-chemo trip. Great spot you picked, Kim. We walked up there to check out the penguins... yes, penguins in Maui. :)

Eden, funny story about those penguins (btw, we stayed at this hotel on our honeymoon, 20 years ago!).
When they first opened the hotel and got the penguins, there was no fence around the pond. One night, the penguins marched out of the pond, in a straight line, past the pool, down to the beach, and into the water where they swam away.
Now there is a fence around the pond. I still smile, thinking of those penguins and their escape with everyone standing by watching, dumbfounded.

That looks fantastic, the blue of the water is stunning. And I'm green with envy.
