The Next Generation

We're missing some kids but here's a chunk of the next generation of our family.

I have always the feeling of endlessness each time we have this kind of picture. Probably because I can see the future generation that will continue our family's legacy. You got a very nice family picture:)

My PH entry is here

Lovely family, definitely a blessing. Have a great weekend!

Lisa:

Great photo!
I don't think I know who everyone is.

Kathy (Trekcapri):

Hi Kim, I love it, the next generation. Something definitely to be thankful for. Great smiles! Have a great weekend.

Barb Cabot:

Very hopeful and happy when I think of the next generation. Yours is beautiful!

Eden:

Beautiful group! Yeah, we sure are thankful for the next generation.

A lovely and warm team you have there.

Have a great weekend.

That's lovely, Kim - both the photo and the sentiment.

Nice take, Kim. And you sure do have a good looking next generation!

What a lovely family, so much to be thankful for!

Happy Photo Hunt!

What a beautiful bunch of kids! I love the little boy hunkered down in the frog pose in the front row, and I also love that poncho. Love all their smiles! Great post.

As someone who grew up without an extended family of cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandparents (except my step-father's parents -- Grandpa was a sweet, wonderful man but Grandma was awful to me and, apparently "hated" me... how can you :hate: a 10-year old?), I can only think how wonderful it will be for all those children to grow up together.

I often wonder how life will be in China with millions of children growing up without brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, and cousins... Generations of people without the connection, support and love that extended family gives them.

So sad!

I can't help wonder if State-mandated "one child" policy in China is more about removing family connection than it is about overpopulation....

Beautiful photo. Wonderful take on this week's theme!

Marcia:

Love it - I love, too, that my children and their cousins, and their 2nd cousins, are all very close - some of them have been in each other's weddings, and now they are creating yet another generation for us to delight in - I would be thankful, too, for that picture and what it means.

Kim, that's a wonderful family-- and having fun together. Definitely something to be thankful for!

nancyhol:

What a beautiful group of kids! I know you are proud of them. They are indeed something to be thankful for!

When I read 'The Next Generation' I immediately thought that you had done another Star Trek post! LOL

What a handsome group of kids! Definitely something to be thankful for!

sheri:
