Mmm Jell-O

Yes, I better be saying that today because it's pretty much all I can eat (that and ice pops and Italian ice, and broth - ooh). Doc has me on a "liquid" diet in preparation for my surgery tomorrow. Why I must do one step short of a colonoscopy preparation (don't ask about the laxatives I must do later), for an oophorectomy, I do not know. I tried calling the office on Friday after my MRI to find out but they close at noon on Friday - who knew? You can bet I'll be calling in a couple of hours though ... I'm already hungry.

Yesterday, it was a no fiber day (again, if you want to clean out, I'd think you'd want fiber). I have no idea how people survive on Atkins but man all I wanted last night was some fruit and vegetables and a whole wheat bun for my burger. Guess you always want what you can't have.

I'm going to be a real pleasure in about 8 hours.

Can't wait until tomorrow.

Other Thinks (6)

You have survived so much the the past year I have no doubt that you will get through this with flying colours - plus your usual great sense of humour! Good luck tomorrow.

This doesn't sound like fun. But thank goodness it's not for long.

Just catching up. What a shame that you have to go through all this but, as you say, at least this time it's preventative.

Yeah, I never got that no fibre thing either. Anyhow...

Best wishes for tomorrow. I'll be thinking about you.

Hey Kim - I know it is too late for this time, but if you need to go on a liquid diet again for any reason, I can recommend the APRICOT flavored jello - really good - especially when made with ginger ale. And when you are ONLY eating liquids, I rationalize the calories in the ginger ale don't really make that much of a difference.

Kim, I've been thinking about you today and wondering how the surgery went.

Sending good thoughts your way.

Been thinking a lot about you. Hope all is well.
