Testing Trackbacks
I understand what a trackback is but I'm not sure how it works if I want to trackback to another blog - so I'm testing this out to see what happens.
This is the trackback link for my Gnocchi entry on my blog. http://www.slowtrav.com/mt/mt-tb.cgi/629. Okay I've pasted this into the Outband Trackback URL field. Let's see what happens.

Okay - I added this blog as a favorite on Technorati - I want to see if it registers an update when I ping it.
Also note, that URL for the blo.gs doesn't work as a ping. I wonder if it is still active.

Okay - now I turned on the pinging to weblogs.com - I want to see how that works. By the way Technorati seems to work though I'm not 100% sure on how I like it.

Testing Scheduled Publication
The strangest thing, I set an entry to publish in the future. On the entry screen, it's status changed automatically, and I could view the invidual entry just fine but the main index, category index, and date index were not updated to reflect the publication of the entry. I should have checked the master archive index but didn't before checking here.
So I'm setting this to publish at 6:45 am on 1/29/08 to see what happens.
