From Webster's Unabridged Dictionary:
Reluctant:
Re*luc"tant (-tant), a. [L. reluctens, -antis, p.pr of reluctari. See Reluct.]
1. Striving against; opposed in desire, unwilling, disinclined; loth.
Some, not all, of this describes my decision to join the blogging world. Many of you have heard me over the past year or so wax eloquently, or so I thought, about the excess of blogs and bloggers, about my desire to keep boundaries in my private and personal worlds. And to some degree, I still feel strongly about all of this. However, I have also been taking steps to keep records of our travels, from acquiring my own digital camera to asking for, and receiving, the generous gift of a light weight laptop computer. And where better to record this than in a blog? So when Krista proposed a Slow Travel Sunday Bakers blog project, I realized that I just might need to join this blogging world. I'm baking from Dolce Italiano, taking pictures of the results; now it looks like I will be able to blog about this and other things. I am also learning how to download those pictures from my camera. But yes, there is a certain reluctance to expose myself, so I think this journey will be interesting. Thanks to all of you who have supported me, and helped me get started; I especially thank Kim, my techie hero.
