Just a little more from Toronto

Even tho I am far behind with the Sunday Bakers, I wanted to share a few more thoughts and pictures from our visit to Toronto. Whenever we return and I get to wander my favorite streets and live for a moment in our mid-70's life, I wonder why we aren't still living there. Of course, I do remember - winter, winter and winter, a season I love to visit for a few days at a time. And these reunions are, of course, held in the lovely season that is spring. One afternoon David and I wandered around, taking pictures of the tulips that came to Canada as a thank-you for the hospitality extended the Dutch Royal Family during WWII.

This year I was also struck by the beauty of the lilac trees:

I really hope it will not be another five years before we come back here.

Barb Cabot:

Marcia, Such lovely blooms. It must have been a beautiful area to start your life together with Dave or was that Santa Cruz? You've got such a long history with your husband. Time flys. Please bring a photo of your early days together with David to the GTG on Saturday. I'd love to see you two in that era.
