Tomato, tomatah

I think my tomatoes will all turn ripe and red while we are in Italy for the next two weeks. So I thought I would capture them before we leave. I grow only tomatoes, and a few herbs; these are in a box outside our fence since the dog eats everything he can. They get planted in the spring whenever I get around to it, and then the weather will determine the ripening season; there are small buds, so if my daughter Sarah remembers to water, perhaps we will have more into the summer.

And this is the "Sweet 100's", which this season has grown to an 5 ft bush already.

We are leaving in the morning; hope to be able to post from the road.

I think there will be some nice ripe tomatoes when you return from Italy! Then you can compare them to the Italian ones!
