Yesterday was our 33rd anniversary - no, I really don't feel that old, and no, we were not teenagers when we got married. We were actually married on a Wednesday (longish story for another time), and yesterday was a Wednesday, so all the stars were aligned this year.
Usually, since we have a summer anniversary, and I am on school break, we will take a drive to the beach, or even go away for a night or two. This year, we are just coming off a wonderful trip to the Amalfi Coast, where I think we had many coastal dinners for many nights running. When I realized that we had baseball tickets for July 9th, we thought fine, it's a good year to spend our anniversary with the Dodgers. We took a picnic, had a margarita, and the boys won, giving them a share of first place, at least until tonight. A very nice evening indeed.
We had also decided that the Italy trip was a present in itself so none others were necessary this year. When I came home in the afternoon I was actually surprised to find a flower basket on the front step. It was very sweet, and it was also different than the ones that David has sent in the past. This is my taste of Umbria flower basket (when we were there at the end of our trip, the sunflowers were just starting to bloom); if this does not say summer, I don't know what else would.

Marcia, just a wee bit late but Happy Anniversary. You and David are a wonderful couple. I love your history, your love of baseball and all the things you have shared throughout the years together. You have all the components of a great marriage which is kind and loving and shared joy in what the years have brought you. These flowers are incredibly happy. They are fitting of a wonderful celebration...33 years! Congrats!
