Blog Revival

I have realized for awhile that I have let the blog become both reluctant and redundant, for no particlular reason. We made several trips out of town this fall, all for family visits and I think I just fell out of the not so old habit of writing and posting. And I definitely was not making as much ice cream on Sundays as I had been doing this summer. Here are a few pictures of my last efforts:

The one with apples and cider, tasting very much like frozen applesauce:

And then there was Chocolate, Philadelphia style (no egg yolk custard) - this style freezes very, very hard:

Now, to finish the ice cream journey, here is one I tasted in Santa Cruz: Pumpkin, at the fabulous Marianne's. It was so good I had to try making pumpkin ice cream a few weeks later, but mine did not achieve either the wonderful color or flavor of this one.

Time to move onto soup - The Slow Scoopers have become Slow Soupers; we are on week 3 of this project, and I am already behind with that, too. Onwards.
