Sunday Slow Soupers Week 2 - Mexican Turkey Soup

And now we are making soup, a very good project for fall and winter. I missed the first week because we were in Sacramento, visiting family, hosting an engagement party for our son and his fiancee, so I'm just a little late to the party (and a little later to actually reporting).

Thanks go to Jerry up there in Canada for picking a soup that features leftover turkey, perfect for the end of Thanksgiving weekend. The spicy flavors added the right note to leftovers fatigue; I was happy to have both turkey stock and turkey meat to add to the pot. The avocado cream topping was a great addition to this soup.
