Today is my son's 29th birthday, and since he is our oldest, it actually is also the anniversary of when we became parents. A lot has happened in our lives in the almost three decades since that early morning in 1980, but currently we are looking forward to his and Emily's wedding in Bodega Bay in July. Just thinking about a answer to my meme yesterday, the one about exceptional talents, I think that when I look at the person that my son has become, perhaps raising Matt (and his sisters) may have been my talent. Nothing else I have done has had so much meaning in my life.
Hope this is an exceptional day for you, Matthew James. Happy Birthday.

I love everything that you have said in this post. I was just thinking that my oldest daughter's birthday is monday and I will be posting something about how meaningful my life has been because of our children. Matthew and his fiance are such a lovely couple. You should be very proud of this talent Marcia (and David too). I know you have raised a fine group of young adults. You should feel very proud. It's a great accomplishment.
