Today is February 28th; the month of blogging ends today. It seems a good time for a brief muse on blogging. I started a few days late, ever reluctant (as in my blog title) to commit to anything on a regular basis. I think getting up, brushing my teeth, remembering meds, taking care of the dog AND going to work is a lot of regular in my life right now. I don't even count cooking dinner as regular because it doesn't happen every night in my current life.
But I came home from Slow Bowl with what I guess was a new burst of enthusiasm and decided to log on, and I have been faithful, even through the new baby mad dash north and our weekends away. Of course, if it weren't for those Memes along the way . . .
I came to blogging from a weekend sharing a house with Shannon and Kim in Savannah; how could I not after Kim promised an easy/peezy blog set up and tecno support? And I had wanted to journal our upcoming summer trip to Italy; David had bought me a lightweight laptop to that end, and I had sort of learned to take my own pictures on a digital camera. And so it began . . .
After our trip, I wasn't really blogging except for the Sunday Slow Bakers who morphed into the Slow Soupers, so this February challenge was a good thing. And now we have come to the end of the month.
So the question I have to ask myself is what did I bring away from this month? Beyond proving to myself I could do the task, I learned a lot about new and old friends, going deeper with some people I have known casually for a few years, and getting to make new friends who I had not known before. I also learned a few techno tricks I had not been using before, so that was also a good thing. On that front I have a lot I can still learn.
Will I be doing this in March? I like to think that I will blog more, but I don't see blogging everyday - my life is not that interesting, really, and I spend far more time doing internet things than I think I should. Now that I have all these links sitting on my blog, I am sure that I will continue to read all of yours, tho maybe not every day. Of course a year ago I did not even have a blog, so who knows, maybe someday I will also go over to the dark side :) of Facebook and Twitter. I only say dark side because of the time involved, really.
And so the next phase of blogging life begins . . . .

Marcia, after making it through this month, you might need to change your name to "Semi-Reluctant Blog." :)
I'm really glad you joined in because I've enjoyed reading your blog this month and feel like I've gotten to know you better. I'm still very grateful to you for sending me those Venice Chorus Passes a few years ago!
We are on the same page as far as the Internet goes. I don't do Facebook or Twitter either, and it's a time thing. Between blogging myself and reading other blogs, plus goofing off on Google, I just think I spend enough time on the web already. Now that the Everyday challenge is over, I hope to blog 4 or so times per week, more or less depending on how busy I am.
I'm very grateful for this cool blogging community we have!

I have enjoyed every one of your posts and am glad you joined us blogging every day in February. This year was much more difficult than last year. I am glad you plan to continue to blog. I felt the same way about Twitter but finally joined. It started out taking up a lot of time, but now that I have it under control, it is a lot of fun.

Marcia, what fun to find your last February post was so similar to mine! We share many of the same ideas. I've enjoyed reading your blog this month very much, and especially getting to know you better.

Fun final post, Marcia. You made it into the techno world of blogging, so why not Facebook? I'll "friend" you if you do.

Congratulations to you and all the Feb. Bloggers. I fell to the wayside but I'm trying slowly to get back on track and catch up with everyone.
