Way back last week, I looked at something that Girasoli had done on her blog that she got from Jill at Fizzy Thoughts, where you get assigned a letter and then come up with ten things you love that begin with that letter. I knew when I said “hit me” it would go on my back burner for awhile. So thanks for the opportunity, and apologies for the delay.
So, “M” which is also the letter for my name, and that which I have never loved :).
Matthew - or Matt, which is my son’s name, my firstborn, who has that special place in my heart.
Maps – I love to look at maps. Geography was my favorite subject in school.
March and May – the months in which my daughters were born; they also have special places in my heart.
Merlot – not my favorite red wine, but I do love a good glass (or two) of Merlot.
Malibu – I’m a California girl, and there is just something about driving up Pacific Coast Highway, ending up at Neptune’s Nest outside Malibu, with bikers, beer and fried calamari. In my fantasies, there is also a convertible, but usually just the open sunroof.
Mimosas – no, not the flower, but the wonderful fizz of orange juice and champagne.
Paul McCartney – the quintessential Beatle, the beautiful voice, those big eyes, who needs more description than that?
Melons – summertime, warm, juicy, and the wonderful taste of melone gelato.
Milan – The gateway city to our first visit to Italy in 2000, the beginning of a beautiful love affair.
Money – c’mon, who doesn’t?

I enjoyed your list, Marcia! I, too, love maps -- I can spend hours tracing routes, looking for places I know.....
Do you know, I've never actually gone into Milan? I've flown in and out of the airport there, but haven't yet gotten into town.

Love your M list. I can relate to Merlot, mimosas, and money.
Maps, however, are totally different stories here... directionally challenged that I am... have difficulty reading maps... road maps that is... but I love maps of the world or countries.

Great list!! Very creative to use the months of March & May as one of your 10. I am another map lover. I can spend hours playing around on google maps and google earth. I didn't even think of money when thinking about the letter M.
