How Smart Is Your Right Foot?

I really had no intention of blogging today, probably due to all that corned beef, soda bread and mint chip ice cream we consumed last night. David had the last of the Guiness while I found a really nice Tesstarossa rose for my glass. It was a good evening.

But then I got this little test in an e-mail from my friend Randi. And I knew I had to share it.

_______________

This is hysterical. You have to try this. It is absolutely true. I guess there are some things that the brain cannot handle.

HOW SMART IS YOUR RIGHT FOOT?

You have to try this please, it takes 2 seconds. I could not believe this!!! It is from an orthopedic surgeon.... This will boggle your mind and you will keep you trying over and over again to see if you can outsmart your foot, but, you can't. It's preprogrammed in your brain!

1. While sitting at your desk in front of your computer, lift your Right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number '6' in the air with your Right hand.

Your foot will change direction.

I told you so!!! And there's nothing you can do about it!

You and I both know how stupid it is, but before the day is done you are going to try it again, if you've not already done so.

Send it to your friends to frustrate them too.

Have fun!

Funny, this e mail must be making the rounds. I was sitting in work trying to do this the other day, hoping that no one would walk in to the office!

Barb Cabot:

Yup just as you said, how funny.

Call me frustrated in Phoenix. ;)

Palma:

That is a riot. I give up!

BTY, I made a loaf of your soda bread Tuesday. YUM! Thanks.

Marcia,
I received this e-mail a week or so ago, and I could not do it either. It is very hilarious.

Brad'll Do It:

Actually, you CAN do it if you draw the 6 from the bottom and not the top (in a clockwise direction). The "double" counter-clockwise maneuver of your hand, first from the "top" of the six, and then continued counter-clockwise through the circle at the bottom, must be a double whammy on being able to keep your foot moving the opposite way. So, am I a spoilsport?
