Those spring holidays are upon us this week, and it's time for the traditional school break as well. Some of us will be spending our time with family at a Passover seder, partaking of the bread of affliction,

and others of us will be enjoying visits from the Easter bunny,

Perhaps those of us with blended families will be doing both.
But I know in my heart that all of us are thinking about Italy, her lost people, her fractured towns, churches and monuments, crushed by this week's devastating earthquake. Our hearts, our prayers, are also there this week, no matter what spring holiday we may be celebrating.

Very well said,Marcia.
It is such a tragedy, and feels so close to home.

Seeing photos of matzoh brings back wonderful memories at my Grandma's.
Well said. It continues to be so heartbreaking seeing photos and hearing more about what is happening in Italy. The people of Abruzzo have been on my mind all week.
