Garden Progress Report - 3 Weeks

One afternoon early this week, I was watering the vegetable bed and was struck by the growth, and remembered someone suggesting taking occasional photos, a progress report of sorts. So out came the camera and I took a few shots. I was surprised to find it had only been three weeks since the planting began.

In the beginning,

3 weeks later,

As you can see, a few flowers have joined the herbs and veggies. I also popped some zinnias into pots,

The tomato plants have grown almost two feet, or so it seems,

I got a little bold at the garden shop this year, and bought a cucumber, a pepper and an eggplant as well,

With our warmer and longer days, I might even need someone to water this garden while we are away this weekend.

Excellent progress! This post is a great idea; I might have to go out and take some photos of mine and then take more at harvest time. I am really looking forward to that first tomato!

So exciting Marcia. It brought back memories of my childhood and watching the plants grow that my dad always started in the Spring. The wonder of nature never ceases to amaze.

Wow Exciting progress. I like the marigolds around the tomatoes. When do you expect your first tomato? We're hoping before the end of July but that is optimistic for the PNW.

Looking good, Marcia. I am hoping to plant this weekend.

Beautiful garden!! I miss being able to have a garden living in a townhouse. I grew up eating fresh vegetables. My mom used to grow tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers as well as many flowers.

Your garden looks great! It won't be long now before you have some veggies to harvest!

Isn't it amazing how quickly things grown when the warm weather finally hits? I was amazed at the change in the hosta yesterday - it was as if you could see it grow!

All your plants look so healthy and the flowers so pretty. It won't be long before you can have your first caprese salad of the season.
