Small and quaint village built on the site of an old Moorish hamlet. It is located on the edge of a natural preserve, about 50 miles northwest of Palermo.

The center of the village

An evocative view of the area around the tonnara, old tuna fishing processing station no longer in use

The beach at the old tonnara, a popular place to enjoy a swim and a picnic

I am excited that you are blogging! I love this template style and may switch mine eventually to this style. It is simple but also elegant.
Welcome to blogging!! :-)

Leslie, Sicily IS evocative!
Girasoli, I'm also excited to be blogging. This is all new to me but my son has been a great teacher. He changed the template and had to work a bit on the header picture so that it could fit. He's also my spellchecker and editor. :-) ( English is not my native language )
I like the template of your blog, in particular the blue background which reminds me of the Caribbean Sea.
