Today's recipe from Dolce Italiano is a decadent and delicious dessert. My Italian dictionary defines 'semifreddo' as a 'kind of Italian ice cream' and that is exactly what this recipe turned out to be: a kind of Italian chocolate ice cream, with the texture of frozen mousse. Cindy Ruth from Slowtrav posted a very detailed entry on the process of making the semifreddo and you can also find the recipe in her blog and in Jerry's blog.

Um... yum! But I would have to eat it in front of a heater turned up high. I am frozen.

One of the things I really enjoyed about this recipe was thet fact that no oven was required. At this time of the year I only want to turn the oven on at 5 am! LOL I think that this might have been my favourite recipe to date!

Wow, that looks so good! I'm trying to find a nice simple recipe for the 4th of July BBQ. That Thai Cucumber salad on Jerry's blog looks like something I can probably handle.
I also like that strawberry recipe that you did. I think I may try that! The SSB blogs are pretty cool. You all are so talented.
