Sunday Slow Bakers: Citrus Glazed Polenta Cake

This Sunday's recipe from Dolce Italiano is a wonderful cake with a rich texture and a fragrant citrus flavor. Although I had on hand all the ingredients, I debated for a while whether I should turn on the oven on a hot and muggy day. The monsoon season is in full force in Arizona and with it comes an increase in humidity. Looking at the gorgeous pictures posted by other ST bakers was enough to convince me to make the cake and I'm so glad I did. Sandi, over at Whistlestop Cafe Cooking, commented that the orange and the polenta makes her think of sunshine and I agree. The recipe can be found at Sandi's blog, Jerry's and Cindy's.

Hi Maria, that looks very delicious. You always do such a wonderful job with each dish.

I always enjoy looking at everyone's outcome each week. They all look so good!

Have a nice Sunday evening!

I made this cake a few months ago. It is definitely a great recipe and pretty easy to make. Yours is much prettier. Mine had a big dip in the middle.

Your cake looks wonderful Maria.

Susan - I also had a 'dip', although mine was almost a well. I think it is because the cake wasn't full cooked in the centre. It still tasted great but didn't look as good as it might.

Back again for the second time to look at the picture!
