Deborah, a fellow ST blogger, posted a list of 43 beautiful and interesting city squares, plazas and piazzas from around the world. She has challenged her ST friends and bloggers to count the ones we have visited.
The rules:
Copy this list into your own blog and put an asterisk after each city square you've actually spent time in. (Riding past in a taxi or bus doesn't count.) Please include the link back to my blog in your own entry and don't forget to come back to and leave me a comment so I can find your blog and admire your count.

My not-so-grand total is 15. I hope to increase that number, as soon as the dollar gets stronger. In the meantime, I’d love to have the book that inspired this meme and see what I’ve been missing.

Cool, Maria. We have a lot of crossover on our lists.
That means we can have GTGs at some of the others and gather our stars.

I am impressed! I can't believe growing up in Massachusetts that I have not been to City Hall Plaza in Boston...at least I don't remember ever being there. Not that it is good, but the dollar is much stronger than it was in June/July.

Hi Maria, I had a feeling your number was going to be pretty high based on reading your blog. 15 is a lot.
My total is only 8, but it will be 9 after November when I can add Plaza Mayor in Madrid! :)
Have a great weekend!

That's a great tally, Maria, I envy you your visits to Spain and Portugal.
And weren't you impressed by the Plaza de la Constitucion in Mexico City? I couldn't believe the Diego Rivera murals inside the presidential palace. Amazing work!

Fifteen? Awesome! I've only been to eight...and doubtful that number will change anytime soon unless I try to pop up to Milan next month, which isn't likely...it's not exactly "on the way" between Florence and Venice! I haven't worked anything out for Venice yet, but still hoping to. Now that the girls are settled in school/university, I can get back to my travel planning!
