This week's PhotoHunt topic is chipped. There were many ways to go with this topic - chipped bark, chipper, chipped dish. I decided to go with my French SIM chip. Okay... okay... it isn't really 'chipped'. I always thought it was so cool that I had a Parisian phone number. It has expired so I guess it is 'chipped'.
I've been playing with my phones. I can't decide if I'm going to take them and get a Malaysian phone chip while I'm in Borneo. It is kinda nice to be unplugged for a while.

Must be exciting to have a trip coming up!
I did a getaway up to sister in November last year, and spent a week up north, but inside a house, looking after my mom with a broken arm, in August.
I am booked to go to the Gold Coast with Alessandro for four days in a few months. Two blocks from the beach, right in the middle of Surfers Paradise.
I'm going to a conference on Digital Scrapbooking for one of the days. :)

You are sooo creative! Definitely a great take on the theme this week. I would take the phone, but only use it for emergencies.

Cool shot and very unique take on this theme. I vote for "unplugged" too...it's nice to take a technology break on vacation.

Great photo! I like the way there is just a hint of phone and keypad in the corner of the frame for context and scale.
Have a great trip, unplugged or no!

This is a great idea for this week's theme!
I am afraid that I fall into the 'take the phone but only use for emergencies' camp. We needed a phone three times on our last trip and things would have gotten quite muddled if we hadn't had brought it. Thank goodness we had it. We kept it off the rest of the time.

Hi Marta, great idea on your theme photo selection. I also think phones are great for emergencies and logistic needs (when necessary). Other than that, it stays off! :)
Your trip sounds so wonderful. I'm looking forward to seeing your photos and reading about your experiences!

I haven't bothered with a French mobile number - so I'm not chipped at all! But our cat is, now that I think of it. That form of chipping hadn't entered my head - great take on the theme!

Wow, I would not have thought of that. As a matter of fact, I had a very difficult time finding "Chip" which was wrong anyway... found out after I read Kim's... LOL.
So mine is up and not even on the right topic... LOL
