This week's Photohunt theme is Entertainment. Seattle has a great summer lunch time concert series called Out to Lunch. We saw that the California Guitar Trio was playing and decided to spend the day downtown. I was playing with my camera and tried the Color Accent setting. It takes a black and white photo and accents just the selected color. I liked how the photo of the concert turned out with just a hint of cool blue.
I wish the day had been a cool as the photo looks. It wasn't. It was the hottest day in Seattle's history at 103 degrees. Fortunately, it was shady and not too hot in the square. And it was great entertainment. The California Guitar Trio was excellent.
Here are a few more shots of the concert:

Great take on the theme, Marta! Wow, I can't believe Seattle was that hot.

The colour accent is a neat feature.
Note to self - sign up for the Nikon D60 class before the trip to Greece . . . there are so many features I don't know how to use.
have a great weekend!

That Color Accent photo is very cool. This looks like fun. "Out to Lunch" is such a great name.
Have a good weekend. Hope it's cooled down some for you guys.

103 in Seattle. Wow that seems like desert temps. I am glad you found shady spots to enjoy the entertainment.

I heard you've been having some wicked weather this year!
I like the black and white with a hint of color-pretty neat.
Sending rain your way!

I love that first photo you took. Using that color feature really does make it look like a cool day. Hope your temperatures cool down soon. We're lucky-that heat wave hasn't hit Alaska.

Fun take on the theme this week. Like the way you played around with the color. I can just imagine how people are freaking out there with the heat when even 90 was way too hot for most. Wow! 103!!

Record temp of 103? Wow! That is really hot for Seattle.
Do the homes normally have A/C there? Or maybe, like beach homes, they don't?
Marta's Reply: No. AC is very rare in homes here. It usually cools down at night and rarely gets into the 90s - except for maybe 1 week a year - typically end of July.
But everyone was standing in line to get window AC units or portable units on Thursday. Totally Crazy!

Cool photos, in particular the first one. I like to play around with my photos and change them to sepia or b/w. I have to check if my camera has the color accent feature.
103!? Sounds like Arizona temperatures. :)
