This week's Photohunt theme is Sports. I knew right off what I would post. We enjoy going to our local all girl Roller Derby matches. It is a take off on the old Roller Derby from the '60s mixed with today's alternative culture. Lots of piercing, tattoos, and gothic costumes. But it is also a great sport and fun time. If you have a local team, I highly recommend checking out a match.

Roller Derby--I haven't seen that in a long time. What a fun choice for sports, and those are some sweet pictures. If you want to wander down my road I’m home.

Great photos! Besides looking like so much fun, you did a great job of capturing the movement and enthusiasm in your pictures. We have a group of Roller Derbys here also, but I've never seen them.

Hi Marta, great photos for this week's theme. The speed one is pretty cool. Wow, I didn't realize they still had roller derby and with a modern day twist. Very cool.

Love your pictures. You really caught the enthusiasm for the sport. I haven't seen anything about Roller Derby here Down Under--but have heard a buzz about it back in the States. I am looking forward to seeing a match in person one of these days.

Love these photos - some wild outfits on these girls and I love the coach's hairdo. Raleigh NC has some Rollergirls - I should go check them out some time, looks like fun!

These are so much fun and one of my favorite posts for the sports theme this week! It makes me want to go see that new roller derby movie. I think it is so cool that you go watch the local all girl Roller Derby matches. Great choice and fantastic photos. Oh and wild outfits!!
