This week's Photohunt theme is Trees. Photohunt is brought to you by TnChick - home of the original photohunt.
Here are some pictures of a glorious spring day in the University of Washington Quad. It is lined with beautiful cherry trees that bloom in spring. I have not been there yet this year but they should be in bloom this week. A fleeting but wonderful pleasure. Everyone loves to come out and enjoy it on a sunny day as seen below.

Are these the same kinds of the trees that the Japanese are so fond of? In any case, they really are lovely! :)

Yes - these are Yoshino variety of flowering cherries that are popular this time of the year in Japan and in Washington DC.

I've never seen such large cherry trees - they must be gorgeous to see and smell!

Oh, Marta! Great photos. I only wish they were scrach'n sniff! I love the Quad in bloom, it's like a heavenly pink snowfall as the blossoms slowly float to the ground.

Great shots that capture the natural beauty and sculptural quality of the trees' trunks and branches. Nice photos for this week's theme.
