About Me

Passionate about art history, after completing my university studies, I came to travel in Italy. I married Maurizio, a businessman, and have lived in Umbria since 1969 in the hills between Foligno and Spello.

We had two children, Marica who is on the faculty at Penn State and Michael who manages our upscale Genius Loci Country Inn in Bevagna. What a journey these 36 years in Umbria have been!
