"BROUGHT TO MY KNEES"

I have been "brought to my knees" by a knee injury. For a few days I simply have not been able to bear any weight on my right knee and have had severe pain. We spent hours at Emergency last Wednesday to evaluate the entity of the problem and since, I have been forced to stay in a wheelchair or on crutches.

I was able to go up to the Inn to greet and welcome another Stanford Alumni group for a wine tasting and picnic during their trek from Bevagna to Montefalco. Our daughter, Mar, was home from Penn State, so was able to meet several Stanford professors with whom she had MANY mutual colleagues and friends. Academia is such a tightly knit group.

I always enjoy seeing Maurizio and Michael looking at the vineyard and conferring as they wait for their tasting explanation

We enjoying seeing the trekkers rest up as they eat their nicely prepared picnic lunch

As I write today I am encouraged that I am on the mend.

Take care of yourself Mary! I hope you're up and around soon....and next time, take a picture of your son so that we can see how handsome he is!!!

Donna:

Mary, you poor dear! What did they tell you at emergency? Were they able to figure out the cause?Whatever it is, I hope it is gone as fast as it appeared! Lovely photos, as always.

Take it easy!

Barb, Oh, he is handsome alright!

Mary, I'm sorry to hear about your knee. Take it easy so it will heal faster! Just sit back and let your family fuss around you.
Hugs to you all!

Mary, I'm sorry to read this, I hope your knee is beginning to feel better and that no serious damage has occured.

As Palma says, I hope you're able to take things easy and let your family take care of you.

An appreciative THANK YOU to my well-wishers. I am making slow - albeit sporadic - progress.

Mary

Kim:

Mary, I had wondered what happened when I saw you on crutches on Marcia's blog. Take care - rest is good.
