I can't count the times we drove by the entrance which leads to Sant'Anna di Camprena. It has famous neighbors and we were always on our way to or from one of them, lacking the time for this visit.

This looks really interesting Mary, great photos! Is this monastery near your inn? I'd love to check it out when I'm in the area in September (and while I have my rental car!)
The frescos look wonderful.

What a beautiful monastery. The frescoes do look wonderful. I love all of the photos.
I have been fortunate to visit a few up in the Franciacorta region of Lombardia with friends and have always been grateful for the opportunity.

I think this is the one on the road between Castelmuzio and Pienza, no? Where the English Patient was filmed?
I thought a group from Germany bought it and turned it into some sort of retreat?
