MEETING SANDRA

I "met" Sandra many months ago...through her blog which I found so extremely well-written, so thoughtful and insightful. From her excellent writing, I should have guessed her background in journalism and speech writing. From her interesting blog, I also noticed her strong interest in art, especially frescoes, and her desire to return to Umbria, a region which, she mentioned, "spoke to her heart". I knew I wanted to meet her when she came back.

a very poor quality photo (my camera was "acting up") of Sandra and me at Genius Loci

It was therefore wonderful to have her come to Genius Loci so we could meet in person. We shared our love for art as well as our "stories". We wished we had more time and are attempting to meet up again before Sandra leaves Perugia.

A special thank you, Sandra, for coming to Genius Loci and spending the afternoon. I so appreciated your using such precious travel time to come to visit.

What a wonderful post. How fantastic to be able to meet up with another blogger. It's a very clear photo by the way and a good one of both of you. How great the blogging community is especially when you can meet up in person like this even though normally separated by huge distances. Enjoy your next visit!

Hi Mary, the pleasure was all mine! I've enjoyed talking with you and seeing Genius Loci, which is every bit as beautiful as I thought it would be!

And thanks to you, I had a lovely dinner with your guests from Scotland, and found such a gorgeous and unique tapestry.
