As I am planning to make a photo book of Maurizio's paintings, I asked him to take a few photos of details of his paintings in order to alternate the full and partial images. It is in these details that I so clearly see and strongly feel his Umbrian roots and his visceral attachment to the land, hill towns, hamlets, vineyards and olive groves.

Beautiful fotos! Will your book be for sale? There is nothing more that I would like than to be at Genius Loci as I write. Next year?

Jane,
We would love to have you stay again at the inn next summer. Perhaps we can have another get-together, another mini GTG. Let's try to make that work! Hello to Ken and Casey.

Lovely photos, Mary. Maurizio is very talented and I enjoyed seeing some of his latest work in person last week.
