my daffodils will be in bloom, as always, for Marica's March 13 birthday

the first hyacinths

a hedge of photinia, one of my favorite bushes

commonly called "Gli Occhi della Madonna" - tiny, delicate wild flowers on the lawns

festive wild flowers

the lawns carpeted in wild flowers, dancing to the spring breeze

...and more wild flowers

a happy Virgola, looking for her spring friends: butterflies, lizards, squirrels which return after their hibernation, various types of bees and other insects, new baby birds leaving their nests.... she was disappointed that she didn't see them today

wild violets

one of the lemon trees waiting to be pulled out of the portico

a small orange tree which spends the winter in the conservatory

...and my favorite bush of all - the Chinese nandina - which graces the garden with exquisite beauty in ALL seasons

Mary, these are such beautiful pictures, they give me hope (as I sit in snowy Ottawa!)
The wild flowers are so pretty, as is Virgola. And I covet your lemon and orange trees!
