Mar spends a good part of her free summers in Europe, attending various international conferences, doing research, hosting friends, traveling in Europe and enjoying the inn and family. These times invariably come to an end way too quickly. We always try to mark the end of these special weeks with a family dinner.
Since guests were out to dinner, we celebrated with a roast goose from the Sagra dell'Oca in Bettona. I added home cooked vegetables and a mixed salad, Mar made her delicious peach tart, Michael chose a Piedmont wine from his personal wine collection, Virgola kept us company and the balmy evening and bright half moon did the rest. It was a lovely evening the night before Mar's early morning flight the next day!

Mary, it looks like everyone in the family (including Virgola, of course!) had a wonderful evening. I hope Mar had a good journey back to the U.S.

What a wonderful way to celebrate the end of Mar's time at home-your goose looks spectacular!
