I am trying to start 2009 off with a bang . . . . . AND a blog!
I have thought of doing this for awhile, and I have been inspired by a lot of the Slow Travel bloggers, particularly Palma, whose blog is one of the most outstanding ones I have ever come across. Don't blush now, Palma!
What really lit a fire under me to begin a blog was our plans to return to Italy in September of 2009. I want to document the planning process like so many of you do and, frankly, I just get too lazy without an incentive like a blog to urge me on.
My first blog entries, though, relate to the Sunday Slow Soupers. I want to have a complete record of all of the wonderful recipes we have prepared so far and those we will prepare before we run out of "Soupers" in April. So, I have posted entries on all of the soups we have done so far.
I AM excited about this blog experience! It's a new year, and I am attempting new things, the first of which is this blog.
I hope you will enjoy the journey with me.

Nancy, I am so pleased to see you blogging! I love that you posted all the soup recipes. I'll be checking these as I work my way through all of them. I have so far made two but will eventually make all the selections.

Hi Nancy, I haven't participated in any of the cooking challenges, but mmm-MMMM, seeing all those recipes back to back makes me want to start soupin' right this minute!
