Another Friday and another heap of gratitude! Inspired by Diana of Creative Structures, along with a number of other bloggers, I have decided to focus on the good things that happen instead of the not-so-good.
First this week, I am oh so grateful that my parents' home in Paso Robles has been sold. Escrow closed last week. The new owner is a career military guy, so that would make our Marine dad very happy.
So, with a lump in my throat, I say goodbye to my folks' home - we had a lot of good times there, so it is going to seem strange going to Paso Robles and not staying there.

Nancy, bittersweet moments cause us to take pause. I am happy that the house is sold, and your memories are in your soul. The house will go on to create new memories for the new family, a lovely thing indeed.

What a big step. I know that you've had this in the works for some time but nothing is the same as when those final papers are signed! Thank goodness you have all of those happy memories to tuck away . . .

This must have been so difficult for you. The last time I went back to Massachusetts, it was so strange seeing other people living in the house I grew up in.
