Gratitude Friday was started earlier this year by Diana of Creative Structures. She encouraged us to look for the happy and positive things in our lives and not dwell on the negative things.
So, this week I am thankful for the lovely herb garden that Bill has planted and nurtured this past year. A lot of them die out when the weather gets below freezing, so we have been covering them up each night to protect them as long as we can. Also our citrus trees.
This is the area of the herb garden that we have been covering. These plants will grow back next spring, but I wanted to keep them going as long as I can, at least until the Christmas cooking is over.

This is my favorite herb of all - pineapple sage.

Another couple of sage plants.

And here they are - all covered up with an old car cover.

That sage is such a beautiful plant! My herbs are hanging in there but we have snow in the forecast tomorrow - not sure they'll last the weekend.
