This morning I assembled cookie tins with an assortment of my homemade treats. Two recipients I will see tonight at our dinner party, so they needed to be done, even though I have a few more recipes to make before Christmas. This should be a good start. We are exchanging early, as both couples will be away during the holidays.
Bottom Layer:

Cut a piece of cardboard, slightly smaller than the lid to keep cookies from getting smashed between layers. Holiday cupcake papers were also helpful to keep smaller cookies in place.
Top Layer:

The tins themselves are cute! They have a clear top, so you can see some of the cookies. Add a ribbon if you like, and it's a great gift! The men get the cookies, and the women get a decorated jar of Cranberry-Orange Honey.

I have not commented before in the past but always enjoy reading your blog. I wanted to de-lurk and tell you that I think your cookies are just exquisite. That tin and the contents are a work of art in and of themselves! Happy Holidays to you and your family!

Cute Santa hats :) I am so non-creative when it comes to this stuff. It is so helpful seeing a photo of your cookie tin. I never even thought about putting them in little muffin cups and layering them like that. Thanks so much for this post!!

I just realized (after seeing your photos in the food section of Slow Trav) that the red and green striped goodies are the cheesecake bars! I can't believe I didn't recognize them :)
