Mario's Place is an award winning Northern Italian restaurant in Riverside, and right across the street from the Mission Inn. Nancy, Bill, Brad and I had a fabulous meal there on Saturday night.
We began with 4 glasses of a Sardinian Vermintino at the bar, but were quickly seated at our table.
Nancy began with goat cheese stuffed zucchini blossoms.

Bill had an ahi appetizer.

I had burata on a bed of arugula and prosciutto.

Brad had an appetizer portion of what was also my entree: veal and pork tortellini in a mushroom, herb and butter sauce.

Next, we all sampled Nancy's delicious corn chowder with shrimp. The three red wine drinkers enjoyed a bottle of Avignonesi Montepulciano Nobile wine.

As entrees, Brad and Bill both enjoyed the oxtail ragu with pasta.

Nancy loved her porcini ravioli.

Dessert? Of course. I don't know where we put it! Bill had a cheese plate:

I had a scoop of caramel ice cream.

Nancy had a Mille fiore (cookies with a beautiful cream).

Brad, usually the sweet tooth, had the good sense to stop eating! What a great meal!

I googled Riverside to see where it was located after drooling over all of these photos! I wish we had a place like Mario's Place here in Hawaii. Lucky you, what a fabulous meal!
