Food From the Heart

Last year I went a little overboard on heart-shaped food during the week before Valentine's Day.

We had everything I could think of in the shape of a heart, plus a few more that didn't fit in this photo package!

This year, as I was debating what to make Brad for his "Valentine's Dinner" tomorrow, I realized how many heart-shaped bakeware items are in my kitchen!

Since Brad has been away all week on business, he will have to survive with only ONE heart-shaped item. This year I am keeping it simple! He has requested an ice cream pie.

Hope you all have a very happy Valentine's Day weekend!

Well you know me, keeping it simple is my middle name, but I do admire your collection of hearts. Ice cream pie sounds very nice - my younger daughter and I will be cooking a meal for all of us in her sister's smallish apartment kitchen, simple is the key word. And lots of wine.

You? Go overboard? Perish the thought! *smile*

Wow! Those are great heart-shaped bakeware items.

I assume there will be a blog entry on the ice cream cake . . .

Palma-You sure have me beat in heart-shaped items! I think I only have cookie cutters. Enjoy your dinner with Brad. You'll have to let us know what you fixed. I'm fixing my husband a special dinner also.

This post makes me think of my mom. She had lots of heart shaped pans. I wonder if any of them are still around.

Happy Valentine's Day to you, Palma!

Cute photo! Happy Valentine's Day, Palma!

Barb Cabot:

Want to see pics of the dinner. Know it was fabulous.
