Friday night we had a great dinner at my favorite Montefalco restaurant, Cocorrone.
We were set up on the patio, surrounded by pots of flowers. We began with prosecco and complementary fried zucchini flowers.

Appetizers included an antipasti misti, assorted meats and salami, grilled scmorza cheese with prosciutto and tortellini en brodo.

We had quite a thunder and lightening storm during our antipasti, and soon buckets of rain were pouting, so we grabbed a plate and a wine glass, and ran inside the dining room.
Cocorrone is known for their grilled meats. Our entrees included tagliata con balsamico, a mixed grill, a lombata di vitello, and platters of luscious grilled
artichokes.

The rain stopped, the sky was clear, and the moon almost full. For dessert, serveral selected a panna cotta with carmelo, or strawberry or peach crostada.

Palma, that looks fantastic! Michael (at Genius Loci) has highly recommended Cocorrone but I didn't make it there last month. Next year, for sure.
